The Protection Mat Basic is for budget-conscious customers. It consists of two hinged halves, making it cheaper to produce than quartered mats. When storing the mats, more space is needed as they can only be easily folded in half.

The 4 cm mat has a harder foam core that doesn't sink under the feet as much. The foam core still provides good protection in falls, but this effect is more pronounced in the thicker and softer mat. Therefore, we recommend the thinner mat primarily as a permanent pad and the thicker version for when you want to "go higher".
